One Click

My original photo film was utterly rubbish it had no story and was about three seconds long so I decided to re create it. below is what I came up with;

To create this photography short  I used an app on my phone called Stop motion. It consisted of taking around 169 photos to create this 33 second video. It took around half an hour to take all the pictures as it took a few shots to match it up to the previous photo with only slight movements. It took twenty minutes for me to edit it adding titles and credits along with captions. I really enjoyed doing this as it was fun and I loved the improvisation. No one has seen this yet however, I will be posting it on the Facebook page to get feedback.

Family time

I feel this photo is the perfect example of spring. I have seen many Goose and Gosling's wondering around York and found a perfect opportunity to take a family photo. II love the colours and the positions of the Goose and Gosling's.

Blog Box

Below is the live recording of a talk show I was apart of;

 This was a very stressful experience for me. My job role was Vision mixer and as I had never used the equipment I was worried about the overall project and letting the team down. When it came to the day we went live we had two hours to rehearse beforehand. During rehearsal  I made many mistakes with the vision mixer and stress was starting to overtake me. As the VT's had to be re burned, we had to rehearse with void VT's. When the new VT's had been burnt and given to the team we had one proper rehearsal.
  When we went live I was nervous and stressed throughout. I made a few mistakes during the live recording, that being a bit slow with transitioning between the first VT and the studio. Also during the interview because I had to go by instinct and how the conversation flows I was a bit jumpy between cameras at the start. However, towards the end of the interview I found it a bit easier to predict who would speak and which camera to change too.
  Although this was stressful and worrying I enjoyed the overall experience as it made me feel like I was working in a real studio and because I love to learn new things and use new equipment. As I was a week late in starting this project I couldn't bring forward ideas as the rest of the group had already put in place a strong and well rounded show prepared. I feel although the plans were thought out well they weren't delivered as imagined as things were done late and a few hiccups happened.
  Meetings we had didn't go as well as we planned as people didn't turn up to meetings and people didn't turn up to lessons when we needed time to rehearse and map out exactly how we would go about setting the studio. During the meetings I attended we discussed the schedule of the show, the length and set design. I took notes during these. When we weren't in meetings or lessons the group kept in contact through Facebook after creating a group on messenger. Despite this the team worked really hard and we got everything done in time.
  If I were to do this again I would have practised more with the vision mixer. I would have still put my ideas forward as the production was early enough to change. I would have also liked to have had more of a leadership role. I would have also liked to have decorated the set a bit more but with the resources and things available I am aware this would not be realistically achievable.
  When in the studio it is important that wires are properly placed to stop people from tripping over it and making sure all fire exits are clear to ensure a safe exit in the event of a fire. As communication is a big part of a successful production I feel we did really well to keep to this by having meetings, constantly in contact through Facebook and texting, minute taking in meetings and in classes giving us more time to rehearse and polish any problems.
 As the subjects we had chosen to feature were of tragedy we had to make sure that we handled and delivered the material as delicately as possible as not to create any kind of distress for anyone who may watch it. Also as we were using some comedy throughout the show we decided that when addressing the tragedy section we didn't have any jokes as that would dampen the seriousness that was the story.
  As the vision mixer it was important that the communication between me, the director and floor manager was clear and simple. I worked really closely with the director to give her as close to her vision of the shots and cuts throughout the production. However, with the lack of resources on the set design and skills we had I had to make it clear that we wouldn't be able to do certain things.
  Throughout the production we all took the role of team leader as we all were constantly giving ideas and explaining the direction we would go down for the production. We all agreed on the final piece which was really good I feel as everyone was happy with how it turned out.
  I thoroughly enjoyed this production because even though we were doing serious stories we had fun in the studios, we made it a fun and lovable atmosphere. I would love to work with the group again as the personalities and talents of the team were brilliant and infectious.
